How to Add a Marriage
Notice
To add a notice
or leave a message or photos on somebody else’s notice, you first need to
register with a few simple details. Once you have done that, you are ready to
go.
- Log in
- Click
on the Post a Notice tab along the top of the Home Page
- Choose
the notice type (drop down menu, click on Marriage)
- Add the
full name of the people getting married if you know them
- Add the
date of birth if you know it. (This may help distinguish between two
people with the same name)
- Choose
the town, city or county where the people getting married live
- Choose
a headline for the notice if you want one
- Write
your text in the notice section. Please click on the “help write a notice”
link if you are unsure what to say or need some examples
- Add an
automated thank you message to anyone who leaves a message on your notice
- To add
photos, click on the add more files in the photos section, browse and
choose the photos from your computer that you want to add. Click on open.
You can add as many photos as you want. When opened you can rotate them,
or add descriptions to each photo. Once added, click on the upload button
at the bottom of this section and your photos will be added in a short
time. The larger the photo files, the longer it will take to upload.
- You can
now add the detail of the parents or other friends or family by first
adding their relationship, name and location. You can add as many others
as you like by clicking on the add more after adding each one.
- You
then click on post notice ad this will take you to the add events section.
You can choose “no thanks” or add a Wedding Ceremony, Reception, or
Wedding Party. You can add multiple events if required but you must save
each one before adding another. If you add the full address and post code
of the event, the location will be displayed on a map for people to see
- Lastly
you can share your post on your social network sites by clicking on the
Facebook or Twitter graphics
If you don’t want to add your own notice, you can add a congratulations message
on someone else’s notice
Please remember to be appropriate in this joyous occasion for friends and
family. Any posts that are inappropriate will be removed immediately and email
and IP address will be forwarded to the appropriate authorities if necessary
