How to Add a Death Notice

To add a notice or leave a message or photos on somebody else's notice, you first need to register with a few simple details. Once you have done that, you are ready to go.
  1. Log in
  2. Click on the Post a Notice tab along the top of the Home Page
  3. Choose the notice type (drop down menu, click on death)
  4. Add the full name of the person if you know it
  5. Add the date of birth if you know it. (This may help distinguish between two people with the same name)
  6. Choose the town, city or county where the person had last lived
  7. Choose a headline for the notice if you want one
  8. Write your text in the notice section. Please click on the “help write a notice” link if you are unsure what to say or need some examples
  9. If you would like people to give donations to a specific charity in remembrance of the person, please fill in the details in the donation section
  10. Add an automated thank you message to anyone who leaves a message on your notice
  11. To add photos, click on the add more files in the photos section, browse and choose the photos from your computer that you want to add. Click on open. You can add as many photos as you want. When opened you can rotate them, or add descriptions to each photo. Once added, click on the upload button at the bottom of this section and your photos will be added in a short time. The larger the photo files, the longer it will take to upload.
  12. You can now add friends or family by first adding their relationship, name and location. You can add as many others as you like by clicking on the add more after adding each one.
  13. You then click on post notice ad this will take you to the add events section. You can choose “no thanks” or add a wake, funeral, burial, cremation etc. You can add multiple events if required but you must save each one before adding another. If you add the full address and post code of the event, the location will be displayed on a map for people to see
  14. Lastly you can share your post on your social network sites by clicking on the Facebook or twitter graphics

If you don’t want to add your own notice, you can add a message of condolence or support on someone else's notice

Please remember to be sensitive during this difficult time for friends and family. Any posts that are inappropriate will be removed immediately and email and IP address will be forwarded to the appropriate authorities if necessary
